Create a community of support...

Giving Tuesday, the International Day of Generosity, reminds us that everyone has the power to make a positive change in the lives of others. On November 30, 2021, people from around the world will join together to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and support their local communities.

The Shelter for Help in Emergency wants to create a community of support for victims of domestic violence, and we need your help. Our trauma-informed programs and services are designed to empower victims as they recover and heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. A gift from you helps strengthen Shelter programs and services for nearly 400 adults and children seeking the safety of the Shelter each year.

A donation from you, no matter how big or small, will create a positive change in the life of someone coming to the Shelter for assistance.

Become a monthly donor and increase your impact over time. A commitment from you of $20 each month equals $240 annually, which can help provide one week of support and advocacy to help a child heal from abuse.

  • $25 provides a backpack and school supplies for a child starting a new year or moving schools.
  • $75 gives one night of safety, food and comfort to a mother and children in our shelter.
  • $100 provides support and advocacy to a victim attending a court hearing.
  • $250 enables us to provide one week of support and advocacy to help a child heal from abuse.
  • $750 gives one week of safe shelter to a family, including food, clothing, and crisis counseling.
  • $1,000 supports one month of the Shelter’s 24-hour Crisis Hotline costs.
